Prof. Lijian Zhang

Prof. Lijian Zhang, Ph.D supervisor. He graduated from Beijing University with the Bachelor and Master degrees and then got the PhD degree from University of Oxford in UK. From 2009 to 2011 he was a postdoc researcher at the Clarendon Laboratory, University of Oxford. From 2011 to 2013 he was a postdoctoral researcher and a Humboldt research fellow at Max Planck Institute for Structures and Dynamics of Matter in Hamburg. He was awarded the 1000 Plan professorship for Young Talents in 2013 and joined the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University in September 2013.

Research interest: experimental and theoretical aspects of quantum optics, quantum information processing, interactions between light field and quantum materials etc., focusing on the generation, manipulation and detection of non-classical optical states and their applications in imaging, communication, metrology and simulations, as well as the nonlinear and quantum optical phenomena in high-temperature superconductors. He has published about 20 papers in peer-review journals including Nature Photonics, Nature Materials, Physical Review Letters.
